Lawrence B. Glickman (born January 10, 1963) is an American historian, university professor and administrator and author of books and articles on consumerism. He is currently head of the History Department at the University of South Carolina, where he has taught since 1992.[1]

Glickman did his undergraduate work at Princeton University, from which he received an A.B. degree in history magna cum laude in 1985. He did his graduate work at the University of California, Berkeley and received his M.A. in 1989 and his Ph.D. in 1992. That same year he became an assistant professor of history at the University of South Carolina and became a full professor in 2006.[2]
He is married to Canadian-born Jill Frank, who is an associate professor of political science at the University of South Carolina.[5] [6]
